FOR THE TRIPS THAT LAST A LITTLE LONGER

More nights. The same thoughtful preparation.

A longer trip calls for a care plan that remains clear after the first few days. If you live in The Hammocks and are preparing an extended absence, start with dates, daily instructions and a realistic collection plan. Canine Country Club welcomes boarding guests at 6201 SW 118th Ave, Miami, FL 33183, in Horse Country, our only location.

THE JOURNEY TO THE CLUB

Starting in The Hammocks

Preview the trip in Google Maps and replace the area’s starting point with your exact address. Check traffic before leaving and confirm your arrival time with the club.

The map uses the area as a reference; this page does not quote a fixed travel time or confirm a pickup service.

Separate your travel dates from their boarding dates

The Hammocks is a Census-designated place, not an incorporated city or another name for all of West Kendall. Use your home address to plan the actual trip to the club. If departure preparations make a same-day handover difficult, ask about arriving earlier; do not assume a suite is available without confirmation.

Write down the proposed check-in and collection dates separately from your flight or road-trip itinerary. The lobby closes on Sundays, and collection after 4 pm carries a day charge. Discuss a possible delay and how to contact the club before leaving, instead of treating extra nights as automatically available.

Make instructions easy to follow for the whole stay

Boarding includes meals, exercise, playtime, treats, special diets and medication administration. Tell the team what your pet normally eats and discuss supplies for a longer stay. Ask how much of any special food or medication to provide and how it should be labeled; do not leave important details only in a verbal goodbye.

Provide a reachable contact and discuss what should happen if your own phone is unavailable while traveling. Explain any changes to your dog’s routine before departure. The goal is a clear handover, not a promise of a particular update frequency or a service that has not been agreed with the club.

Review the full price, not just the nightly rate

A 10% discount is published for stays of more than ten nights. Ask how eligibility applies to your dates and how it combines with other discounts. A going-home bath is required after three days; transportation, possible collar charges and holiday adjustments also need clarification. Request the full expected total before confirming.

BEFORE YOU DECIDE

Good questions.

Does a ten-night stay receive the longer-stay discount?

The published wording is more than ten nights, not ten nights or more. Ask the club to confirm the amount for your exact dates rather than rounding your stay into a discount band.

Can I extend the stay once I am away?

Contact the club as soon as plans change. An extension requires confirmation of availability and charges; it is not guaranteed by the original booking.

What if my dog needs a special diet throughout?

Describe the diet before booking and ask how to prepare enough supplies. Special diets are included in boarding care, but the team still needs clear instructions and an agreed supply arrangement.
