Make sure you are planning for the right place

Sunset is a Census-designated place in Miami-Dade. It should not be confused with every destination whose name includes Sunset, or with the municipality of South Miami. Use your actual starting address and the club’s complete street address to check the route. We operate one facility, not a separate Sunset location.

For a dog who finds unfamiliar arrivals difficult, ask the club how to organize the handover before setting off. Explain what happens around unfamiliar people, other dogs and transitions. Useful details describe behavior and situations; a short label such as shy, reactive or aggressive does not tell the team the whole story.

Understand what private care means here

Adult dogs play with their own family group rather than being automatically placed into a large mixed group. The club also offers individual handling for aggressive dogs, with private accommodations and specially designed drop-down doors. Ask how your dog’s particular needs fit the service instead of assuming every handling request can be accepted.

The published boarding rate for aggressive dogs is $70 per night. This is outside the standard dog boarding calculator. Describe any specific handling instructions and ask the team to confirm the appropriate arrangement and total. A price on a page is not an assessment, a training program or a promise of behavioral change.

Write down the details that matter at handover

Share meal routines, any medication instructions and situations that need special attention well before arrival. Ask what equipment and belongings the team wants you to bring. If someone else will deliver or collect your dog, include them in the plan so the instructions do not depend on an improvised explanation at the door.
